David Spicer
David Spicer, originally from Danville, VA, has built an impressive career in the automotive industry. His journey began with Toyota, where he gained valuable experience before moving into the high-line sector with Mercedes-Benz dealerships. After four years with Mercedes, he transitioned to a senior lead service advisor role at an independent Mercedes-Benz specialist shop in Apex, NC. Throughout his career, David has pursued continuous education, completing training with 180 Biz, attending ASTA for three consecutive years, and participating in STX training in Nashville, TN, where he earned multiple certifications in sales and service advising.
David’s passion for the automotive industry was sparked by a conversation with a close friend, a regional Toyota sales rep and trainer. However, it was his own service experience as a customer that ultimately led him to the field. Offered a role in the service department, he quickly excelled and discovered a true passion for customer service and technical advising. Now, more than a decade later, he remains dedicated to providing exceptional service and helping clients maintain their vehicles.
Outside of work, David enjoys riding his motorcycle, traveling, and delving into history and architecture. He has a strong interest in coding and game development. His dream trip is to spend a few weeks exploring Italy, where he hopes to immerse himself in the country’s rich culture, history, and art. At home, he has two beloved dogs, a pit-lab mix.
David values the work-life balance that Yeargan’s Automotive provides, particularly the four-day work week, which allows him to travel and spend quality time with his son. His customer service philosophy revolves around understanding clients' long-term automotive goals and guiding them toward the best solutions. His key advice to car owners: "Take care of the little things while they’re still little—don’t let minor issues turn into major repairs."
